The Northern Connector Project was awarded to Astelec Group in 2019
The project scope includes a 15.5 kilometre non-stop motorway standard road connecting the Northern Expressway to the South Road Superway, providing an unimpeded journey from Gawler to Regency Park; a total of 43 kilometres. The motorway will also include four road interchanges at the Northern Expressway, Waterloo Corner Road, Bolivar Road and the Port River Expressway, as well as an adjacent 16 kilometre path for cyclists and pedestrians.

- Meet the requirements of the CSTR and DPTI Master Specifications for all equipment supply, installation procedures, testing and documentation requirements.
- ITS cabinet, field device cables spliced into a FOBOT provided within the cabinet
- Field device, fibre cable spliced into a FOBOT at the device enclosure or in a junction box.
Astelec Group completed all Optical fibre requirements on the New Northern Connector.
